Star Wars Ladies
Anybody who knows me knows I am a huge dork for Star Wars, so the other day I doodled these; three of my favorite SW women!

KANEDAAAAA!!
Earlier this week I randomly really wanted to draw Tetsuo from Akira. So... I did.
X-23 getting a little weird.
My friend and I discussed a cute peach that could turn into an evil pineapple. It bites other fruits and turns them into evil pineapples too.

Some sketches
An upcoming project of mine is a mini sketchbook tentatively titled "Early 1900s Japanese Hipsters." This is a test sketch of a Taisho era girl mixing Eastern and Western clothing! How innovative!
These are some character sketches for a project I'm working on for my Character Design & Storyboarding class. The story involves a Jizo, which is basically the Buddhist version of a grim reaper, and a little girl who doesn't care about her family's heritage. Yay for getting back to your roots!

Messed around with some markers the other day. Also realized I hadn't posted in here in forever, so... there you go.

Airports
My Pokemon self portrait. I'm a sunglasses type.
Mara Jade from Star Wars. One of my favorite ladies from this series. :)
Also, leaving for NYCC on Thursday. I dislike flying, especially alone, so... I'm actually a little freaked out. I've flown alone before (a million times to NYC and once all the way to Tokyo from Atlanta) but... blah. I hate airports. I just hope everything goes smoothly.
I doodle when I'm bored.
Today in my character design class, my good buddy Lisa was talking about Halloween costumes. This is a product of our conversation. 50s Housewife Wolverine.
My roommate and I decided that now that Carol is "Queen of the Star Sapphires," she needs a new costume. So I doodled this. Star Sapphire now with cape action!!

Star Sapphire is now in full technicolor!
I took my Carol Ferris Star Sapphire artwork and colored it up in Photoshop CS4. I'm still a total digital coloring newbie, but despite having no idea what I was doing, I think this came out pretty decent. Also, made the gems purple instead of pink because she's part of the Violet Lantern Corps which... makes absolutely no sense but hey. I don't argue. Green Lantern is awesome. Carol is the best comic lady. And that's all there is to it, really.

Last Exile
A little something new I am working on. I've always loved the series Last Exile, and the other day I came across a Mucha painting of a girl wearing a headdress that reminded me of Delphine, so... I drew this based on it. Now I'm getting ready to color it. :)

Link is not a vegetarian
Did this for the http://templeofcartoonmojo.blogspot.com/ Zelda sketch challenge. I've never really played the games, but I enjoy the horrible 80s cartoon very much. Mostly because Link is completely obnoxious.
The only thing I know about the games is that, as Link, you have the ability to kick chickens.

Some more stuff from the sketchbook.
My roommate, Meredith, has five cats. They're all really weird, and due to the Marvel Cats craze going on right now, I thought it'd be funny to draw them all as X-Men. Yes, the cat who is Storm is a Hemmingway.
Star Sapphire, better known as Carol Ferris, is definitely my favorite comic lady. So I drew her.
For a warm up exercise in my character design class, we had to draw ourselves as cartoon characters, so I did this.

Hipster Wolverine and X-23
I like drawing superheroes. I also like drawing hipsters. That's pretty much all there is to it.
Also, this is the first post on this blog, so I hope you guys enjoy what I've got to offer.
